WHAT'S HAPPENING NOW!
The Weekend Bag Program
March 26th Meeting:
During our March meeting, we will feature a presentation from the founders of The Weekend Bag Program. The Weekend Bag Program Inc. is a kid founded 501(c)3 nonprofit created to provide students going home from school over the weekend with food and hygiene products they otherwise wouldn’t have.
We will be collecting donations for anyone who is interested at our March meeting. If you can donate items for the program, the most needed items are:
• Chef Boyardee (any flavor)
• Mac N Cheese (like blue box but could be any brand)
• Tuna (can or pouch)
• Pasta Noodles
• Applesauce Cups
The program is always collecting non-perishables such as:
• Soup (Cup/Can)
• Cereal (Box/Cup)
• Fruit Snacks
• Juice and Water Bottles
• Granola Bars
• Ramen
Hygiene items can also be donated:
• Shampoo and Conditioner
• Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
• Travel-size tissues
• Deodorant
• Body soap
• Single rolls of toilet paper
• Laundry soant
In addition to donation of goods, there are opportunities to volunteer to help assemble the bags. For more information about their volunteer opportunities, check out their website at https://weekendbagprogram.org/volunteer.

Celebrating NJSFWC 60th Anniversary!
THE 1894 SOCIETY
The NJSFWC Headquarters Building, built with trading stamps, is located
on land leased from Rutgers University. The Federation’s lease with Rutgers sets the rental amount at a percentage of the value of the land. The value of land has increased.
The 1894 Society was initiated in 2002 in an effort to build a fund that will enable the NJSFWC to meet any increase that may be assessed by Rutgers. Click on the PDF to learn more.
